How do you change Sheet Numbers In Multisim.

That is very strange. What do you see when you right click your sheet in the Design Toolbox?

I am out of ideas. You can try to reset your interface:

Or post the design that is giving you troubles.

Has anyone else seen this?

Okay. I reset the user interface as suggested, and restarted Multisim. Same thing. So I tried a different MS10 design

in MS11. I still can't change sheet numbers.

Another problem is when I pull in a ms10 design into MS v11, it renumbers all of the componets! NOT good for an existing

board that you simply want to upgrade the files to the latest version.

Sorry - I can't post the design. It's proprietary.

I like many of the new features of v11 but these kinds of problems make it difficult to justify it's use.

The seemingly missing menu option to rename or renumber a page may be due to the particular configuration of pages in the design. The menu option is for renaming pages of a multi-page circuit and for renaming subcircuits. If the pages to be renamed or renumbered are each single page hierarchical blocks this option does not exist (since renaming the block could have side-effects on other circuits that were using that block and expecting that name). You would instead need to save a new copy of the hierarchical block with the new name. If your design is using all hierarchical blocks, then the "missing" menu item is probably a non-issue.

I suspect this does not solve your larger problem, however, which if I understand is specifically the sheet number as displayed in the title block (please correct me if I'm wrong). If you have a title block on some page of a circuit using the "&p" special symbol to automatically display the sheet number, this number is determined in a very similar way to the printing order of the pages.

If that's the problem, I've entered a defect to have this looked at with the printing order issue Yi filed earlier. If that's not the issue, let us know.

You nailed it. My designs consist of one page that glues all of the proven hierarchical blocks together, with the following pages being 1ea HB/SC.

Thank you.
