I'm not really familiar with relays, at all. They didn't teach it to me during my schooling, and now I have a circuit that I need to design using a relay but can't seem to simulate it.
I searched the forums and found out to use the RELAY_NC component. Don't worry about the resistances or voltages, I haven't done the math yet and was just playing around.
V4 will be output from a microcontroller to turn on the transistor Q1 and drive the relay using the DC source. This will then turn on the AC source to power the load. It won't simulate though, and I have no idea why (for some reason it is treating it as a transmission line?). Can someone please explain this to me? Also I will probably be using solid state relays for my finished project.
Thanks guys!

Hi Mcfloyd,
I looked into the circuit and one thing which seems wrong is that your power supply which is connecting to the collector through the resistor is connecting to the negative side of the power supply. I changed that connection and I replaced the relay you had with a virtual configurable relay to make it easier for you to simulate the relay which you will actually purchase. The virtual relays are located in Basic Group > BASIC_VIRTUAL Family.
Hope this helps.

Thanks very much! I could have sworn I had that power supply connected properly, guess I need to brush up on my BJT's again!
