How to place a group of vias in ultiboard following a geomeric shape such as circle.

I have to place many vias following  5 concentric circles. I have to place one by one around 500 vias. Is it possible to place all these vias with a script or any available tool?

Hi,

I'm afraid you'll have to put them manually, but there are some ricks:

1) set the board reference in the center of the circle of via's you want to make

2) set your PCB settings to polar grid.

3) set the polar grid so that angle and distance for the center coincede with your via positions.

4) make a series of via's and copy them to other parts of the board;

If all goes well they should snap to the desired positions

for other circles, change your board reference/ angle/ distances (polar grid)
