Howdo you correctly use 74247 BCD-to7segment Driver?

I am new to Multisim and I don't uderstand why my 7segment display is not lighting up.  I am using a 74247 even though it is obsolete (my school requires it).

I am having the exact same issue. I'll look more into it.

The 74247 has an open collector output, this means you need pull up resistors to interface it with the 7-Segment Display.

Add a 100 ohm pull up on each line between the chip and the 7-segment display to ensure your output from the chip is correctly transmitted to the 7-segment display.

Without the pull up the common anode display will not light up, once the pull up resistors are in place it should function as expected.
