For me, unless the design is quite large, I mainly place my components manually. Most of the time the Auoplacer never puts anything where I want it. I thought I would pass this along so you wouldn't think that the Autoplacer is the only way we all put parts on a board.
the autoplacer sucks, it does a good job off getting things based on net list fairly thee close.......but other than that.....this is one area that UB is a complete turd.
There should be options for alignment of components based on place options, distances with offsets, and many other things......just place the parts manually.....its less of a hassle.
