Import/Open Eagle design

I have a customer pcb design in Eagle CAD, how can I import into Ultiboard?

I know historically this has been a problem, is there any new solutions or work arounds?

Hello,

No there hasn't been any updates on this. To the best of my knowledge, some customers have managed to output each specific layer from Eagle as a DXF that con be imported into Ultiboard. However I do not know how well this method works. You are free to try and we can always help if it's something on Ultiboard's DXF handling.

We have the same problem. We have made hundreds of designs with Eagle (various versions over the decades) and now switched to Ultiboard. As far as I know, there is no suitable method to import Eagle pcb designs into Ultiboard. BTW this is more or less the same with other pcb/circuit design software, too. Most of them use their proprietary data structure which cannot easily be converted to a different one.
