Initial conditions of the software while simulating a brushed permanent magnet DC Motor
I simulated a DC motor in NI Multisim software. The parameters i used are from a technical datasheet provided by the DC motor manufacturer. when i run the simulation the peak value of the starting current (inrush current) is not matching with the datasheet (the datasheet mentioned 40A but it reached only 30 A). I was checking all the settings of the software and changed the initial conditions of the simulation software. The motor current started from 40A and drop to the no-load current". I then realized the initial conditions parameter is affecting the starting current. Can anyone please check the below attachments and explain to m
e what are these initial conditions and how it affects them?
