Is there any way to use PSPICE transient models?

I need to model a TI LM5088 in my simulations.  I can get what TI calls a PSPICE transient model ( http://www.ti.com/product/lm5088 ).  I don't recognize what they are supplying as something I can use in MULTISIM.  Is there any way to get an MULTISIM SPICE model from this?   Thanks.

Hi,

In Multisim, there are parts that are custom and other SPICE simulators will not be able to use them.  The same is true with OrCAD, the model you downloaded is not a SPICE model, it is a schematic created in OrCAD and there are likely OrCAD only parts used in the schematic so you won't be able to use this part in other SPICE simulators.

There is a .lib file in there that contains the Pspice model for this switching controller.

Generally Multisim is quite capable of simulating PSpice models. Under normal cirmustances you simple take the model (.model or .subckt syntax) and create a Multisim component around it!

However, TI chose to encrypt them a certain set of models, LM5088 included.

So unfortunately at this time you would not be able to simulate the LM5088 in Multisim.
