L293 in Multisim

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi,

I am new in the Multisim world. Just bought the product and hoped that it would enable me to draw circuit diagrams for the robot I am designing.

The basics components are L293D, LM324 and 74HC14.

I intend to adjust the circuit diagrams from: http://www.syscompdesign.com/mechbot/mechbot-lab-manual.pdf to my needs.

The diagram should look similar to the one below.

Unfortunately I cannot find the components in MultiSim component library. Do I need some other product or can this be achieved using multisim?

Can anyone help me to to find a solution?linefollower_mechbot.jpg

Hi,

The components you mentioned are in the Power Pro database, I am not sure which version you are running but if you don't have them, open the attached file and copy/paste the part to your schematic.

If you are not familiar with the Multisim database, have a look at this knowledge to learn how to use the part search:

When you are doing any design, you don't always find parts in the database, it this case, create you own component.  Have a look at this tutorial to learn how:

Hello tien,

Thank you very much for the answer. i have been trying to create my own components. it took a lot of time and I did not manage to getr evrything functional.

I can create drawings now, but the pin numbers are not correct yet.

I am very interested in the attached file, which I do not see unfortunately.

Am I missing some forum feature?

yours sincerely,

martin

TRhank you. Unfortunately i am using multisim 10.0.343.

I acannot open the files you sent me.

I figured out by now that 74HC04 is very similar to 674HC14.

The only real problem I have is with the half h bridge L293D. I cannot find anything like it in multisim.

My own components look quite ok, but the pin numers do not come across in the right way.

This make the circuits hard to follow, since all packs show the smaen pin-id's.

Thnak you for all the help

Ìs there a possibility to convert the components from version 12 to version 10 components?

I have all components created myself now, but the "mechnics" ( porgram code) is too hard for me to implement right now.

Can I copy and paste the model-code from the version 12 in some way?

maybe you copy-paste the script somehow?

Regards
