Hello,
I am a student, and have a MultiSim assignment from CIE using a LF356BN. The Student version 10.1 master database does not have the component listed. Does anyone out there have the component from a previous version, or from a similar experience? I sincerely appreciate any assistance with this.
Thanks,
Claude

Hi Claude,
The LF356 components are available in the latest upgrade of NI Multisim -- Version 10.1.1. To learn more about other enhancements and features available in this upgrade, you can view the release notes.
In the meantime, you can create the component manually. All you need to get started is the simulation model, which I was able to locate here on the National Semiconductor website. The following tutorial will walk you through the process of creating the component in Multisim: Creating a Custom Component in NI Multisim.
If you run into any difficulties along the way, please feel free to respond. We would be happy to help.

Hi Yugen,
Sure - you actually a few options here. One option is to use subcircuits or hierarchical blocks to replace sections of your design. Another is to use a multi-page design, and then link to your main design using off-page connectors. Here are some resources that might be helpful:
If you wanted to use the multi-page approach, simple choose Place > Multi-page. This will create a new page in your design. Then you would have to place off-page connectors to connect the nets across pages, by selecting Place > Connectors > Off-Page Connector.
