Multisim Error Regarding 02.cir

I'm a student at a university currently using an Evaluation version of Multisim, soon to be upgraded to the full student edition, but whenever I try to simulate a circuit, I get the follow error message:

Error: C:\DOCUMEN~1\LELANDS\LOCALS~1\TEMP\02.CIR: No such file or directory

I've run a simple search for the file 02.cir on my hard drive, but nothing ever comes up.  I've tried installing Multisim twice and I get the same problem.  Does anyone know how to fix the problem?

Check this KB, see if it applies for you:

Did you followed all the instructions from that KB?... did the Sample folder circuits worked or this error happens with every single circuit you try to simulate?

Make sure that reboot the computer after changing the TEMP environment variable. And also make sure that you have administrator rights on that folder, Multisim needs to read/write to that folder. Are you looged in as a User?... if you log in as an Administrator does it works?

I followed the instructions exactly and it didn't work.  I figured out the problem was in my user profile.  I modified that and everything's working fine.  Thanks for all the help Nestor- I really appreciate it.

I'm glad you worked it out... if you have a chance, would you mind sharing with everybody what was wrong on the user profile?...

Thanks!

Sorry it took so long for me to reply, I've been having trouble logging in and getting the board to work (hence having to make a second account).  The problem was that my profile name contained an apostrophe (long story as to why).  So to avoid those problems, pick user account names that stick to letters and numbers.

the solution to this is really simple...!!

1)just open c:/users/(username)/appdata/local/temp
2)click on the file '02.CIR' in it ;RIGHT CLICK; select OPEN WITH >MULTISIM

3)once you have opened this file ...now u can use MULTISIM normally...It won't show error hereafter

enjoy working on MULTISIM
