Multisim / Orcad schematic compatibility

Hi,

I'm aware people have successfully integrated orcad schematic entry with Ultiboard, but has anyone been successful importing or exporting schematics between Orcad and Multisim?  I work with engineers using primarily Orcad, but prefer Multisim for SPICE simulation.

I have not personally tried to import an Orcad file into Multisim, but if you take a look at the open cammand there is a drop down box at the bottom of the dialog box and it does list ORCAD Files (.dsn) as being supported for loading. Other than being supported for load, I have no idea on how an ORCAD circuit would look or whether it would simulate or not once loaded.

Any other resposes will have to come from someone who has actually done this.

Probably didn't help any, but this is all I can say on this subject.

I would recommend that you download the eval edition so you can try this yourself and see how it works, but basically when you do a File > Open, you can open Orcad schematic files, but here is the limitation to be aware of, it imports only the schematic capture portion, not the simulation models of the components.

Multisim does not has any special export function to export the schematic back into Orcad... I don't know if Orcad has the ability to open Multisim files...
