No Thyristor nor UJT in Multisim

Hello! I tried "converting" a rather old circuit diagram to Multisim, but realized that there is no Unijunctiontransistor model (2N2646) and also no Thyristor model (2N3525) available. The model listed under "UJT" has a very different symbol than the real one and someone said, what Multisim lists under UJT is in fact a PUT.

There are infos about manually adding models and also some unconfirmed infos about 2N2646, but there is no info about the Thyristor im looking for. Does anybody have some clue or info that would help me?

Thanks and bye!

Hi, I looked upon those components you mention. And yes, the only two components listed under UJT are Programmable UJT, -PUT. I tried searching on the web for those component's models but did not found any.

a) if you find a spice code for it you can create a custom component.

b) if there is no spice code, but you still want them at least for schematic and layout purposes only, you can use the component wizard, tools >> component wizard, just make sure that you select the option for creating a component for schematic and layout only.

In that way you will create your own symbol and associate a specific footprint for layout, but of course, no simulation since there is no model available.
