Solved!

Hi,

I have the .olp files for Altera FPGA EP4CE footprint.

Can I use this footprint in Ultiboard? How?

I posted the same question a while back, but its hard to find searching.  I had to go through my old posts to find it

https://forums.ni.com/t5/Multisim-and-Ultiboard/Building-custom-components-for-Ultiliboard-Infinion-...

Please post your results with the solution that NI provided back then, I didn't wait around long enough to try it.

Any updates would be appreciated.

Dave

If I understand well, the .OLP footprint are not supported from Ultiboard 😞

I'm not sure I can solve your particular challenge here, but we are trying to get a handle on similar IC importing issues.  Can you provide a link to where you downloaded that specific file?

Did some looking into that, it appears to be an OrCAD file.  Utiliboard does open some OrCAD files but not that .olb extension.

I have 2 suggestions

First you can go on the OrCAD forums and ask someone with OrCAD to convert that to an .max or .llb file.

Try to get a trail version of the Oracle software that works with these different file formats.
