PLD Simulation

Hi,

Can Multisim be used to simulate a limited set of PLD or other programmable logic devices like PAL or FPGA? Is there any way to build my own SPICE model for a specific PLD part & how can I go about doing it?

If I use discrete logic instead of a programmable device to create my circuit, is there any 3rd party software which can convert the resultant output to a format that can be used to program a PLD?

Hi Steven,

Multisim have some MCU components available for you to simulate and what is in the database is all that you can use.  You won't find SPICE models for PAL or FPGA online, the SPICE netlist will be too large to simulate.
