I could not recreate this. I tried with a number of chip resistors and made three copies and everything looked o.k. Are your sure you didn't switch layers before the paste? Maybe you inadvertently rotated it somehow?

I will post my pics so you can see that this didn't occur with me. Maybe you could post your file so we can try and recreate it from that.

Hi,

It seams that modification to refdefs in primary group is not copied to the other group.  Please check the file below.

In my picture I did modify the original refdes (I moved them and rotated them)  and as you can see it copied fine on mine. I am not sure why it isn't doing the same on yours. Could you tell me what version you have because I have the Power Pro Edition version 10.0.343. This may be why it is working for me and not for you.

Here is your test file. I deleted your R5-R8 and made a copy of R1-R4. As you can see the refdes are o.k.as far as postioning is concerned  although on mine they get out of order.
