Reference Point

What is the use of Reference point in Function Generator? Must we connect in the circuit? If not so, what will take place? Can u please describe me this? Thank U.

PETCHIRAJA,

You can choose any point as your reference point for the Function Generator. The output waveform would then be according to that reference point. Ground is a very common reference point for most applications. You should connect the reference point to the ground.
