Transient analysis in multisim

hi,

I'm trying to run a transient analysis on a circuit at various node. When trying to simulate, my only options are Voltages at all nodes, but don't see any current I options at the nodes. I want to be able to run current vs time but the currents aren't part of the variables list. How do I add the currents to the list ?

thank you for your help

This is from the sample circuits inside Multisim. From what I can determine from what I see in this example circuit is that you would have to set up probes on the wires attached to the nodes you wish to measure and then the current option becomes available to use in the transient analysis output options via the probe which is now in series with the node.

This would then present the output as current vs time on the grapher display. This may not be the only option here, but it is the only one I could find. If you wish to examine the sample circuit open it with OPEN SAMPLES  and then browse to the folder ANALYSIS>TRANSIENT ANALYSIS.

I don't believe it is possible to measure current in any other fashion with this Analysis as it is incapable of measuring in a series fashion. Current has to be measured in series with the wire or component. Using a node therefore would be a voltage measurement referneced to ground. I would say this is why in the default options there is no option for Current to measurement until you add the probes.

I hope this helps. There may be other means to do this, but this is all I could find for now.
