UB footprint preview selection

In MS10 I notice that I can select footprint names by their exact reference when placing a component. The problem is that it only shows a 3 footprints and you have to use the up/down arrows. If you don't select one, MS treats the part as virtual until you do select a footprint....ok fine.....but I've been around for a while......but rest assured there is NO way I'm going to know what every single footprint in the database is going to be.

Are there any plans to put a footprint PREVIEW as you select each one? It is so unproductive when you have to sit there and "guess" as to what footprint may or may not show up when you transfer to UB.

It needs IMO major tweaking to be more intuitive. Does this makes sense?

Currently the only footprint preview you'll see is if you are assigning a footprint to a part that is already placed. However, this is a great suggestion (to add a footprint preview from the component browser) and I'll make sure that R&D receives it.

I like the preview suggestion. I think that will increase productivity when selecting footprints.

Currently, you can also see the footprint that will be selected in the Detail Report. From the Component Browser, click the Detail Report button. This report contains a preview of all Ultiboard footprints for the part.
