UB mouse wheel zoom problem

I've recently started having a mouse wheel zoom problem in UB.  It used to zoom in and out on the cursor positon which would stay fixed relative to the place I have it on the layout.

Now the low out positon jumps all over the place sometimes putting my design way off in space to the side where I can't see it.

If I zoom real slow and reposition the cursor I can keep the design on the screen, but it's quite painful compared to how I'm used to having it work.

Any ideas?

I use an MS USB optical mouse with scroll wheel.  Win 7, 64bit, Phenom II 1100T processor. UB 11 (latest)

Thanks

I had it set correctly, and have never changed it.

I did try unchecking centering, click apply, then check it again and click apply and now it seems to work again.

Thanks.

Well, it's doing it again.  Toggled the centering selection does not fix it anymore.

Actually, unchecking centering now makes it behave as if centering was checked.     ??????

dbur,

Try this: Locate your user preferences / configuration file.

http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/2719D00E36A4D53A8625721300685B3F

Copy it here or email it to me so that I can have R&D check it out (also keep a copy in the event this doesn't fix the problem).

Per the instructions delete the file from this location and restart Multisim/Ultiboard. Let me know if this fixes the problem.

Regards,

Pat

Here is the config file.

When I started UB today it was working again.

I don't think the issue is teh centering option in the global settings.  When the problem is occurs it doesn't behave like either setting should.

Restoring a saved config from when it worked did not help.

Deleting the config and restarting also did not help.

Hi, would it be possible to confirm that you can see the same behaviour with another mouse? I had this behaviour once in the past (about a year ago) and it was caused by a faulty mouse I had. I replaced it and everything was OK after.

The mouse has been working fine in all other apps.

I did try another mouse and it is working right now, though the old mouse is also working again as well (for now).

Win7 did install a mouse driver update when I plugged in the new mouse.

If the problem recurrs I will return and report.

Thanks.

Well, it worked for a few minutes and then is happening again, with both old and new mouse, and after unplugging and replugging the mouse and re-starting UB.
