Ultiboard: Paste mask smller than SMT pads

Hello,

I wanted to export the paste mask as DXF to make a laser cut plastic stencil, but the result wasn’t that good. It is possible to make the solder paste mask pads about 10% smaller than the SMT pads before exporting it, or do I have do scale every pad in the DXF file?

you can try

1.  File>>Export>>Gerber 274x>>Properties, there should be an option to change the past mask size on the dialog.

When you change this option the entire board will change.

2.  In the Design Toolbox, there are past mask top/bottom layers.  Make one of the layer active and select Place>>Shape to draw a custom paste mask.  If you want to change the paste mask for a particular footprint, you should make the change in the Footprint Edit mode and save it to your library, when you place this footprint, it should have the custom paste mask setting.
