Hello all, I have a license for Circuit Design Suite that covers up to version 11 and I have version 10 installed. I have a project that I need to work on which was originally done in version 11 on another computer. It cannot be opened with version 10. I downloaded the version 11 update from the NI site at this link: http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/2037/lang/en
When I run it, the program communicates with the notification server and then tells me that 'no software will be installed or removed', giving me only the options to go back or cancel. From what I've seen, this message generally means that the software in question is already installed on the machine, but it is not. I have tried this with update 11.0.0.1 and 11.0.0.2 installation files. I used a trial of version 12 for a while, but my license does not support it and the trial period has lapsed. I've already tried a complete uninstall and reinstall of version 10 using the installation image, but the updater still gives the same message. Has anyone else encountered this? Thanks.

Hi James,
The link you posted is not a complete installation, that's an update.
You can find the complete download from here:
ftp://ftp.ni.com/evaluation/Circuit_Design_Suite/11.0/
If you purchased V10 and we released V11 within the SSP period, you should download 11.0 Education or Pro. If you recalled that you renewed the SSP contract then you should download 11.0.1.

That seems to have done the trick, thank you. I'm still not clear as to why the update installer didn't work, since I already had version 10 installed, but it's not as important to me now that the issue is resolved. Thanks again!
