Windows Istaltter keeps bugging me

Hi,

Every time I attemot to start MultiSim or Ultiboard I get a popup from Windows Installer asking me to  "insert the EWB Support and Upgrade Utility disk" with the drive letter listed as "1".  I hit cancel twice and then the program starts up properly.  Just an annoying problem.  This just started to happen.

There may be a simpler method, but it sound to me like you may need to repair you installation. For some reason something has either been accidently deleted or become corrupted somehow. If you follow the procedure below this should restore anything that is either missing or didn't get installed

Insert your original software disc in your drive

Got to C:\Program Files\National Instruments\Shared\NIUninstaller.

Run the program called "uninst"  Once this is open find in the window "Circuit Design Suite" and highlight it.

Then click on the middle Icon that says "Repair"

This should restore anything that is either missing of corrupted without harming any of your saved files/projects.

This may the long route to cure this problem, but it does work as I have had to do it on occasion.

Hope it gets your situation cleared up.

Hi Ktodd,

Go to the Add/remove Programs in the Control panel, locate EWB Support and Upgrade utility and remove it from the machine. If you will be receiving 10.1 I would not bother reinstall the utility, the 10.1 installer will install one for you.
