academic vs professional features

Why are there some features of multisim that are academic only and not in the professional version?

Hello,

Snippets and Co-simulation are features in the professional version of Multisim, however the Xilinx support and ELVIS suppor is only in the Educational version.  Also, there are some extra animated components in the Educational version.

There are different features depending on the use cases.  The academic versioin has features useful for teaching but probably be not required by professionals, such as 3D Breadboarding.

Well, Xilinx or generic CPLD support for simulations would be great for us 'pros'.  Unless it's not actually functional enough for the real world for some reason.
