adding a new component

Hi,

is it possible to add a new component with all its characteristics. For example the IGBT Transistor IRGB4B60KD1 is not listed in Multisim, but just some other IGBTs. Is it possible now to add this new component in the list somehow, so I can use it in my circuit. If yes, how to do this exactly?

It is possible, the first thing you need is the spice model for that component. Which based on the International Rectifier website for this product:

It shows a Spice File link:

http://www.irf.com/product-info/models/spice/irgb_s_sl4b60kd1.spi

With that file, you have the hardest thing already accomplished. Now, follow the tutorial named: "Creating a Custom Component in NI Multisim" first with the files included in the tutorial, then you can replicate the same steps with this component you want, the link for the tutorial is:
