change to an user genrated footprint

I am creating a new PIC, the 16F876A.
no problem with the multisim part.
as the footprint for the pdip 28SP do not exist on ultiboard, I created a new one, and saved on user and also on the corporate database, .

here is the problem, when I try to link the hand created footprint into  the multisim simbol, they are not visible from multisim.
I can see all previously existing footprints, but not the just created ones.

any hint  ???
thanks in advance

Try this link and it should be able to guide you through the process.

This is just a note to everyone reading this post. You can search the entire NI website with the little box at the top of the screen next to where it says "CART/HELP. You may already be aware of this, but it does come in handy when searching for tutorials and such. I thought I would just bring this to the attention of the forum in case it wasn't known.

I hope this link helps.

Thanks a lot

No doubt we MUST always check the data base, but I was not able at the time to find a solution

After your note I went back to the search and found one document that sure indicates how to solve my problem

http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/B0077C481ED8E47B862572110061FA6B

the spelling must be precise, as indicated on  step 5 (of document mentioned above)  as follows :
quote" An 'Add a Footprint' dialog should appear. In the Footprint field, type the name of the footprint and be sure the check your spelling. Leave the 'EWB layout field' empty but add information for the other fields, once finished click OK"unquote

thanks a lot again
