components grayed out and unselectable on 11.0.2 student edition of multisim

Hi there,

I have been using the 11.0.2 student edition of multisim for the last 3 months. Last time i sused it i had know issues and shut my computer down as i normally would.

I have gone to use the software this morning and all component menus are grayed out and unselectable. (see attachments)

Has anyone else had this problem and found a quick solution?

Hi Matt,

You can try a couple of things. Go to Options -> Global Restrictions. If it prompts you for a password enter Rodney .

Make sure nothing is checked in this window. If something is checked, un-check it.

If this does not work, go to Options -> Global Preferences. Select the path for the config file as shown in attached screen shot. Close Multisim and navigate to this folder. Delete all the files in this folder. When you re-open Multisim, everything should be back to normal.
