I am wondering if I would be better off using subcircuits than hierarchical blocks. I have a circuit that is duplicated 6 times on one design. It won't be used by other designs or worked on separately from the main design. What are the trade offs of HB vs SC?
is there a good way to change an HB to an SC? I think I could copy the circuit from inside the HB, paste it in my design, the convert the circuit to an SC. That seems like a bit more work than I want. I'd like ot preserve the symbols as setup and the wiring connections to the HB when it converts to SC.
Are there still part refdes renumber problems associated with 'undo' and having HB's?
