counter

hello.. im rather new here and to Multisim.

im designing a 0-9 counter.. and it works just fine..

but when i use clock_current for its power source it starts with 4 instead of 0..
so the count sequence would be 4,5,6,7,8,9,0,1,2,3....9,0,1,2,3...9..
when i use a switch it works just fine..

i'm all out of ideas.. anyone can help?

and p.s.
the initial value of my counter is F before one pulse..
how do i change that to 0?

It would be nice if you could post your circuit so we can take a peek at it. I am assuming that if it is a 0-9 counter that you are using a 4017 (just guessing). If this is the case, make sure your clock frequency isn't to high for this IC. You will have to look up the datasheet and find out the maximum clock frequency. Also be sure that the clock input line of this has at least a 1K resistor to ground. I have had goofy results without this resistor in place. You might also want to adjust the simulation settings to "set to zero" under the simulation-default instrument setting tab. Please be sure that you have either a VDD or VCC and a DC (Virtual) ground on the schematic as this is sometimes required.

I am just guessing this is what you have until I actually can see your circuit.  I hope this is correct and I was able to help.
