does anyone have a library file for a CD4098 dual mltivibrator

looking for a multisim library file for a CD4098 dual multivibrator chip,
any help greatly appreciated

I do not have this component and I have not been able to locate a spice model for it. What you could possibly do is to use CD4538CN in order to simulate your project if we are talking about MUltisim here. The two IC's are simular in the way they function even though the internal make-up is different according to the datasheets.

I hope this is what you need.

thanks for the info, that was my first thaught when i couldnt find a CD4098 but unfortunately i dont seem to have the CD4538 either, any chance you have the file for one

Yes, I will post it for you here. It will be in a schematic. I do not knowm if your version supports saving to database from a schematic, but if it doesn't you can still use it. You would just have to cut an paste it into your circuit.

unfortunately im running multisim 9 power pro Smiley Sad, the file seems to want multisim 10 or newer, is there a way round this,

Sorry about that. There is a way around it, but it will require you to create a new component with your component wizard. I will post the spice model for it and let you see what you can do from that point.

i will give that a go, if i get stuck i will probably bite the bullet and upgrade to version 10,

10 can read almost all versions backwards, but older versions can not read forward....they keep retooling the file format as they go, unfortunately not everyone has the cash to keep laying out that kind of cash......most companies can, but most individuals are up the creek....wish NI would realize this. $800+ every year nut is tough to crack in todays times if you not using it to make money.
