multisim binary, hex or dec transfer for li-fi circuit

Afternoon all, below is a circuit used to represent a li-fi system. What is used is the function generator to send a signal (input), where a oscilloscope (J2) displays it at the end. However what I am after doing is transferring binary, hex or a dec signal instead where a digital indicator displays the results.

I'm totally lost at how to do this, I started looking at a word generator.....this got me confused.

If there is a way to do this via one channel (from input).
