Why is it that when you create a hierarchical block, and edit the symbol, the new symbol doesn't show up when you place the original HB from file?  Annoying.

I see what you mean JW82,

I would say that it's just the way it is. But let me look in to it a little bit more in the matrix (database) to see what i can find.
