pin 14 of Type A HDMI connector (10029449-001RLF)

I am trying to use the 19-pin type A HDMI connector for my design. I need to use pin #14, but its not available in Multisim 13.0. Furthermore, the type A HDMI connector is listed as having 18 pins while pin 14 is not listed and pin 19 is there.

How do I change this connector so that I can use the entire 19 pins? Should I use a different connector?

Why would the default connector installed with the product be so awkward?

Hi,

Pin 14 is reserved (N.C.). To simplify the symbol this pin is not listed. If you need this pin you will need to edit this component.

  • Double-click the component to opent its Properties.
  • Go to the Value tab.
  • Click on Edit component in DB
  • Go to the Symbol tab and click on Edit. Add the pin.
  • Go to the Footprint tab and map the symbol pin to the footprint pin.
  • Save the new component in your User Database
