Did you mean:

simulation interrupts, error:timestep too small, trouble with node. Solution?

Sorry to hear about the Multimeter. I am not sure about that one. I just assumed that the Multimeters in all versions were the same. If that is not the case then I apologize for my assumption there. It would not make sense to me that this would be that way. You  would have to have an ohmmeter to measure resistance even if it a student version in order to do some of the labs, etc.

Don't know. NI would have to address that issue as it may be a software related issue.

On the grounding issue. Multisim is very finicky when it comes to grounding especially when it comes to the transformers. You just have to be careful when designing and make sure you have things grounded that should be grounded even if yiou don't think they need grounded (that is almost a laughable statement, but true).

Hi Stepan,

Your question about the multimeter not allowing you to measure Ohms might be answered by the following link: http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=370&thread.id=5080

Hi Lacy, Howard,

The multimeter Ohm mode error is a software feature, apparently the guys at NI can do the A and V modes but not the Ohm mode, that is also almost laughable but true.

Best regards to both,

Stepan.

Could you eleaborate a little on this Multimeter feature? I have the Power Pro Version and it has all the multimeter functionality, so I am just curious as to what your version is and where the information you have about this came from. Thanks for any information about this as I am just curious about it.

Hi Lacy,

In the example you have sent me the multimeter does not show the Ohm sign, the button is empty, when I press it and change the pot value, nothing displays on multimeter. The link sent by Howard has some explanation relating version 10.1, My understanding is that In this versioin the Ohm mode has this error, which was not there in previous version.

Unfortunately I do not have enugh free time to investigate and interprete all the MS features, at this time I have made my conclusions about resonant mode converter and now I must deliver a prototype. Later I probably will play a bit more with MS.

Best regards,

Stepan.
