slow downloader

Using the NI Dowloader to download the student evaluation version of Mulitsim. The downloader is frustratingly slow i.e. 30 hours to download is predicted. Other downloads appear to have acceptable speed apart from this. Also tried the download without using the NI manager but this makes no difference to the speed.

Is the NI server just slow or can I do something to improve the download speed?

Dear Andy,

Some of those files can be quite large so it is not unexpected to take a long time.  However, it should not take 30 hours.  Are you sure that your internet connection is not being slowed down?  Also the rate at which you download can be affected by your computer's write to hard drive rate.

Have you downloaded large files from ni.com previously without any issues?
