timestep too small again

Hello, I'm trying to simulate a small security halt circuit but I alwas get the timestep to small error message. I tried the steps described in the older posts but still got the error. I'm using Multisim 10.0.1.

I would be happy about any hint to help me fix this problem.

Jan

What i tried:

  • setting initial conditions to zero
  • TMAX to 1e-003
  • RELTOL to 0.01
  • RSHUNT to 1e+9
  • tried with METHOD gear and trapezoidal

Try adding a ground to the emitter transistor T3.  Be sure to set the timestep back to 1E-005. Anytime yiou have a timestep problem "reducing: this value will make it worse. When you took it from 1E-005 to 1E-003 that actually decreased the resolution of the simulator therefore it has less time to spend on calculatuions and you have a convergence error. It is kinda backwards to think about and I hope id haven't confused you because this setting is difficult to try to explain.
