variants for different values

Can schematic variants be used to display a different value of a component for each variant.  All is see is include or exclude which seem a bit limited.

Thanks

Hi there,

This dilemma had me for a while, but this is not an issue! What you can do is to place multiple components and change their values. You can then assign each component to a different variant. This is quite flexible because not only can you assign different values, but you can have different footprints, simulation models, etc for each variant.

Hope that helps.

Hi Yi,

Multiple parts would work in some instances but unfortunately in this particular instance there are several variants that would affect too many comonents.  I can see the schematic getting to cluttered for use.  It would be really nice to have this functionality.

Can you have variants of subcircuits?  Maybe this could be a work around.

Thanks

Subcircuits and hierarchical blocks cannot be included or excluded from variants, but their components can.

I see where you are coming from. I have made a feature request to improve variant support and subcircuit and hierarchical block support for variants. This is important and we hope to improve our variant support in the future.
