If possible, can you explain in detail the purpose of all the components
I am new to labview, and I want to understand the role of the whole

Understanding LabVIEW is much more than knowing isolated items on the diagram. For example, you need to understand dataflow and all it's principles.

I strongly advise against trying to learn LabVIEW from some questionable random code found somewhere on the internet, because you cannot judge the quality of the code and might just learn really bad habits. 😉

From a quick glance at the code, I immediately see huge room for improvements. Nobody should program like that!

Obviously this is NOT your own code, and it would only be polite to give a link where you found it. Maybe we can then see who the programmer is and if the code has been discussed already.

Note that this is only a passive board to be operated by the players. There is no AI. (In contrast, this old code cannot be beaten at the much more complicated 4x4 version).
