Use DAQmx Create Virtual Channel.vi

By specifying the physical channel(s) and its (or theirs) function i.e. Analog Input, Digital Input etc, its Task Out is then passing through for DAQmx Read, DAQmx Write etc to accomplish the desire tasks.

Try looking for shipped example(s) by searching for the keyword "DAQmx ".

 Thanks for you explanation. i am using the CVI instead of labview. i am now trying to switch from Traditional DAQ to DAQmx.  so a lot of things are new for me. yesderay , i have found the function to reset the DAQ card, but i can not find the Time_out settings. and it looks the watch_dog setting only availabe for digital port.  😞

Hi Gerry, perhaps, you may try posting your question to the LabWindows/CVI
