what are the advantages of CVI aganist labview?

There are some differences between labwindows/cvi and labview,but what are
the
advantages of each other?
And at which time we use CVI or Labview?

The labview is a graphic developpment entironment, while the CVI is a ANSI C programming entironment. If an engineer is fomiliar with C programming and is not willing to learn the G programming language labview used, he may use the CVI.
