Hi Alfred, I think that subscribers to this forum could better diagnose this error if you could provide additional information, such as:
1) What software or package are you installing?
2) How did you initiate installation, i.e. were you running an offline or online install, installing individual package from disk, installing software or package from a tab in NIPM, etc.?
3) What OS and OS bitness are you installing on?
4) What version of NIPM was installed before you initiated the installation?
5) Did the installation install a new version of NIPM because you were using an offline or online installer?
