Channica, it would be helpful to those that follow this forum to know the following:

1) What version of NIPM is installed on the system?

2) What were you installing when the error occurred, and was it a small online installer, an full offline installer, or were you installing from a product from the Browse Products tab in NIPM?

3) Can you capture and share the logs for NIPM associated with the installation as outlined in the following KB? It would be helpful to enable MSI logs and capture those if you can still reproduce the issue.

Hello,

This is an error that NI Package Manager returns when there was an issue installing or removing a package. To determine the underlying issue causing the error to occur, you can look at the NI Package Manager logs .

The troubleshooting steps you can try out:

  • The first and best suggestion to solve this error is to uninstall all NI softwares and to try install LabVIEW again.
  • Install all pending windows updates.
  • Deactivate your firewall and antivirus software.
  • Upgrade to the latest version of NI Package Manager.
  • Restart NI Service Locator and NI Configuration Manager in Windows Services
  • Install the packages you are attempting to install using its offline distribution (if available).

Hope this will help you to find the solution.
