The ability to have line numbers for all steps in the left hand gutter.

Having the ability to have line numbers for all steps in the left hand gutter would help in troubleshooting, code reviews, and any time when communicating about a sequence.  There seems to be a gutter there already, so adding there seems to be a place for them already.  Error messages can also post the line number too.

I could see how this would be useful during edit time, but any reference to line number during execution seems like a crutch against using the step uniqueID.  Maybe it should just be easier to reference agains the step uniqueID.

You can do this by editing the Step List Configuration.  Add a column that is an expression and set the expression to "Step.StepIndex"

It is possible to show line numbers by editing the Step List Configuration. However, line numbers are shown after the icon of each step. It there a way to show them before the test step`s icon?

I'm pro.

Teststand sometimes returns a message referring to the line number but there is no line numbering in the editor.
