Can I install teststand v3.0 on both my computer at home & office without licensing issues?

Do I also need separate licenses for both my computer at work & at home? Can it read v2.0 sequence files without modification?

Hi -

The NI End User License Agreement (EULA) allows for use on a home computer, so you do not need licenses for both home and work. Simply activate your license at home using the same serial number.

TestStand 3.0 can load sequence files from previous versions of TestStand. It will update type and other information, so if you save the file in 3.0, you will no longer be able to open it in the older version of TS. If you need to do so, you can choose "Save As..." in the TestStand Sequence Editor and choose an older version of TestStand in the "Files of Type" ring control on the file dialog box.

How about if I install Teststand in the Lab? This means I will have Teststand installed in my office, home, and at the Lab.

Every installation for work use requires a separate license. So for your scenario, you would need two licenses.
