All,

Can a seq developed on 2.0 be run on a 4.1?

I did load it on 4.1 and the sequences all shows up, but before I spend time tweeking anything tht is missing, would it work?

thanks

Yes, it should.   There are a few incompatabilities that are all documented.  I load and run TestStand 2.0 sequences just about every day and it works.

Thanks,
Jim

But if you save it under 4.1, can it be opened again under 2.0?

No. It is a good idea to keep your SeqFile(s) created in TS2.0 in a save place.

I currently do not have access to TS4.1 and cannot check if the menu item "Save As ..." allows to write TS 2.0 SeqFiles.  In TestStand 2012 "Save As ..." allows for down to TestStand 3.0.

Yes, you should be able to 'Save As..' to TestStand 2.0 from TestStand 4.1.

Thanks,
Jim

I tried the "save as" but unlike LabView there was no option for saving in a previous version.

Hi,

There is a drop down box in the 'Save As' dialog that is named 'Files of Type'.  Under there there should be an option to save as "TestStand 2.0 Sequence File (*.seq)".

Thanks,
Jim
