Solved!

Hi,

I have installed the Teststand 2020. Now I want to disable the log generation by TestStand. So I click the Configure->Report Options but without any window popup. Is anyone know how to do this?

This looks like you've basically opened an older sequence file (possibly pre 2012) that is pointed to definitely a pre-2012 process model.  My guess is that the report options don't exist in the same location or they have different parameters or something and it is just not opening.

Create a new sequence file and then click on the menu and see what it shows.  Unless of course you set your station model to the older process model.  Then you'll still have issues.

Hi Jigg,

Thanks for your reply.

Yes, I copy a sequence which original run in the TestStand 2010. But now it need to run in a new PC in the TestStand2020. And I also copy a ST_DT_ParallelModel.Seq to the new PC. So now the issue happened and  I can't load the report options window.  I have tried to open the data log sequence and successfully load this window, deselect the generate log button.

But unfortunately, it still generate the report and all the report is empty.

Could you help tell me how to do next step?

It might help if you first understand what is going on.  Basically if you open your process model you will see some gray sequences.  These are called configuration entry points.  Before TestStand 2012 there were usually 3 configuration entry points: Model Options, Report Options, Database Options.  They each called dialogs that allowed the user to configure those things.  In TestStand 2012, NI did a wonderful thing and created result processing plugins.  These eliminated the need for the Report Options and Database Options configuration entry point. Instead what happens now is the result processing plugins contain entry points that call those dialogs.

There are knowledge bases out there about migrating your older process models over:

https://www.ni.com/docs/en-US/bundle/teststand/page/migrating-custom-process-model-components.html

https://www.ni.com/docs/en-US/bundle/teststand/page/migrating-process-model-customizations-to-tes.ht...

Hope this helps,

Hi Jigg,

The files help me a lot.  Thanks. You know I just want to fast disable the log function, so I copy some configure files from the old PC. There is no log file generated now. So till now I got what I wanted. But the report option window still can't be install, I will take time to do the further study. Thanks

I want to set your answer as expected, but seems I have not find the way to do it.
