I might do a complete un-install and then try a re-install and see if it works.
I'll update and let you all know tomorrow morning.

Just to update you on what happened this morning.
I re-installed the software with the DVD present in the PC as suggested again and this still didn't work.
I then un-installed the test software. Then went and un-installed all NI software from the PC. Did a complete re-installation and retried the test code.
When I ran the code, I no longer got any issues/errors so there must have been a conflict somewhere with existing code that was on the system.
