Give TestStand reports a name based on variables

Hello all,

I am playing with "Report Options", but I am unable to find what I need.

In one of my steps, I have an additional result that is Locals.Project_rev.

I want to use [Date][Time]Locals.Project_rev.xml as my report file name for easy searching in the future. How do I make that happen?

Hi Bladhart,

You can specify the report filename using expressions that evaluate during runtime as specified here:

Basically, go to Configure >> Report Options, and in the Report File Pathname tab, select "Specify report File Path by Expression" in the File Name/Directory dropdown.
