How can I incluce a hyperlink to TDMS file in the report?

Hi,

I am storing the measured data in TDMS file in each step. File name is written to the ResultText property so it is visible in the report.

I would like to have hyperlink in the report that opens this TDMS file automatically either with DIADEM or with the TDMS VIEWER (LabVIEW application)

Any help in creating hyperlink in the report (XML, HTML) would help.

Hi Andras,

in TestStand you can add text to the report as shown in the tutorial: http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/4428.
So you can add the link to the file path (for example file:///C:/EXAMPLE.tdms). 
You have to choose in Windows which program should open a tdms-file in general (for example DIADEM).

It work fine. Thank you. However I would need to mdify the report generation to make the results looklike Hyperlinks as you suggested. I have many steps to change if I want to do it in the post expression.

I would need some solution, which is done in only one place and all my ReportText properties become hyperlinks in the generated report.

Do you have any suggestions?

Hi Andras,

you can also write the links within a new step to the report.
As shown in the attached file.

It helped. I write the Step.Result.ReportText property directly form my measure steps, so it was the minimum amount of change so far.
