How do I pass expressions from sequence to another sequence

I am trying to setup a sequence that calls a another sequence file but I need to pass some custom expressions to and back from it?  Can someone explain how this is done or are there any examples available?

Thank you Juergen.  I couldn't open the sequence file PassingReference.seq  because I am running Teststand 3.1 but the suggested example showed me how to do it.
